This series has 2 models: IR4020U is VFIR (16 Mbps); IR4021U is FIR (4 Mbps)

Fully compliant with USB 3.0 (also backward compatible with USB 2.0)

Full-speed USB device operation

Fully compliant to IrDA serial infrared physical layer specification 1.4

Supports Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP/2000/98SE, Linux & Mac 10.2x or above ( Power PC only; not Intel Based PC)

Bus-powered device. Obtain power from USB port. No external power supply required.

Low power consumption in standby mode (Standby current is less than 0.5 mA)

Not occupy PC's COM or Parallel port and has no complicated hardware port and resource setting.

*Note: The existing bundled driver could play IrDA function only! Still you can also run IrSimple application as long as you use compatible driver/software yourself.
Please also refer to IrS402x, which is already bundled with IrSimple driver & software.
