Microsoft
Windows 2K/XP/Vista/Win7 IrDA stack does not include IrCOMM. So, if your
opposite IrDA device supports IrCOMM as a upper IrDA application protocol
and wish your device exchange data using IrCOMM protocol then you can
download this Third party driver and install it. Please, refer Manual for
installation
NOTE: a. Generally, You NEED NOT install ACTiLinkACPI
for your PC UNLESS it is really necessary under
some Notebook PC for
IR220L+ due to below reasons. NOTE: b. The file here we provide is ONLY a 30 days TRIAL
Version. You need to
BUY the Standard Version if you feel it DOES Help after
the 30 days trial period expired.
[What is ACPI]: In Windows 98SE and later Windows O.S.,
ACPI manager is used to save power
for notebook PC.
e.g., if no software using floating calculation, ACPI manager may turn off CPU. It
saves power in notebook PC.
[What does ACTiLinkACPI
help]: Sometimes, ACPI manager will also
disable COM port. ACT-IR220L+ uses no
external power, it has to get power from RS232 COM port RTS/DTR signal lines. So our
ACTiLinkACPI software
is used to Deactivate
this ACPI manager function, so that
IR220L+ can get power and function well.
Windows OS relevance : ACTiLinkACPI will
not work on all OLD Windows O.S., e.g. Windows 95.
LogoManager
Ver1.1 Beta - includes support for IrDA on the following Nokia handsets:
8210, 8810, 8850, 7110. Note that complete support for the 7110 cannot currently
be guaranteed.
IRUpdate.exe(Additional driver for Windows 95 user only)
IRUpdate.exe
- updates the Windows 95 IrDA drivers so that LogoManager cancommunicate
using IrDA. If you have already installed PC Suite, or are using Win98
or Win2000, this should not be necessary, although the program may also
serve as a useful troubleshooting tool.
